Inclusive Education Program in Woodbridge, Virginia

ROOTS Learning & Wellness Academy is the inclusive education program at The Language Arc in Woodbridge, VA. Through small-group learning experiences, we create safe, affirming spaces where neurodivergent children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

ROOTS is built on the belief that children learn best when they feel regulated, connected, and valued. Our programs are designed to support cognitive development, communication, executive functioning, and confidence — while honoring each child’s unique learning profile.

We are not just offering classes. We are building an inclusive learning community.

🌱 Learning Pods (Ages 3–10)

 

Our Learning Pods are small-group, inclusive education sessions designed for all learners who benefit from structure, flexibility, and individualized support.

Children build skills in:

  • Social-emotional learning

  • Communication and peer interaction

  • Early literacy and foundational math

  • Executive functioning

  • Emotional regulation

Learning Pods blend play-based exploration with structured academic support in a sensory-conscious environment.

Enrollment is limited to maintain a supportive group size.​​

ROOTS Summer Camps will offer inclusive, themed camp experiences designed to support neurodivergent children who thrive in smaller, supportive environments.

Camps will focus on:

  • Social connection

  • Confidence-building

  • Hands-on learning

  • Movement and sensory-friendly activities

  • Skill reinforcement in a fun, low-pressure setting

🎨 Enrichment Groups

 

ROOTS Enrichment Groups provide focused, small-group experiences that target specific skill areas in a fun, engaging format.

Groups may include:

  • Social skills groups

  • Executive functioning groups

  • Creative arts and expression

  • Literacy enrichment

  • Interest-based project groups

 

Enrichment groups allow children to deepen skills while building friendships in a safe and affirming space.

Our upcoming Mommy & Me groups will provide guided, play-based experiences for caregivers and young children to strengthen connection, communication, and early developmental skills.
